IWWA with great pride and pleasure announces the hosting of its 46th annual convention scheduled to be held on 17 to 19 January 2014, in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
Indian Water Works Association (IWWA)
IWWA is a voluntary body of professionals concerned with water supply for municipal, industrial, agricultural uses and treatment and disposal of waste water. IWWA focuses basically on the entire "Water Cycle" encompassing the environmental, social, institutional and financial issues.
Founded in 1968 with headquarters at Mumbai, IWWA now has 31 centres spread across the country and is very active in conducting different activities in the areas of Water Supply and Wastewater Treatment and Disposal. IWWA has a membership of more than 6500 plus professionals spread all over the country and abroad.
IWWA brings out a quarterly Journal and a bi-monthly newsletter called Mid-stream.
At the International level, it has relations with other similar Associations such as:
- International Water Association (IWA)
- American Water Works Association (AWWA)
- Global Water Partnership (GWP)
- Japan Water Works Association (JWWA)
These linkages provide a vista to the members of the Association to exchange and promote ideas at international level
The Annual Convention
IWWA organizes its annual convention across the country generally where its centres are located. The convention attracts large number of professionals from all over the country and also from the World over. The convention provides a platform for its members as also for academicians, industry to exchange their views and brings in expertise from abroad,
